Seems a lot of systems populating iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.6.3.1.2 with installed Software/Packages. Why not using it for softwareinventory (on systems where not Agent is available)

For networking devices, storage & printer devices, the fact is simply software inventory is not supported, only firmware version.

More talking about computers. Not sure if Network devices filling this OID. But it seems filled by default on Linux systems. And maybe there is not the option to install the agent on all systems.

Computer inventory via SNMP was definitively forgotten years ago as this is far from being accurate. The time I checked, I was even unable to find a serialnumber or an UUID which is definitively disqualifying. Having computers scanned via snmp is even a problem sometime because of that poor quality.

For remoteinventory, you can use RemoteInventory task: using ssh for remote linux, macos or any supported unix and WinRM for remote windows. The remote ssh user must have administration privileges.

means sudo rights or must be root?

"root" is more efficient. If it only has "sudo", you'll probably have to create script to bind called command to script running command via sudo. Also, agent will probably miss read access on system protected file.

This means you may not have a complete inventory when using another user than root.
