Is there a way to setup netinventory with SNMPv3 and SHA256? (using cli maybe?)

In documentation I found only settings with SHA-1.

There's probably a limitation in Net::SNMP library used by perl. I can see related issues here: https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Dist/Display.html?Name=Net-SNMP

I was planning to make a custom script to build snmp json inventory (with only the required datas needed by our customer) and then inject it in GLPI with glpi-injector command.

Will this solution work?
and if yes, is there any documentation that details the inventories json format?

Yes it could. You should probably generate a template from another printer with SNMPv2 access, or temporarily enable SNMPv2 to generate a template.

But you have to use XML format for network printers. The expected format is the same than for FIA you can see there: https://documentation.fusioninventory.org/Advanced_topics/dev/spec/protocol/netinventory/#agent-to-server-message
This spec is common to printers and networking devices.

I just finally published an update. You'll be able to use sha256 with next nightly build. The only constraint is to have Net::SNMP v6.0.1 perl library installed. But this is the case with latest debian releases.

The current customer ask to have custom values in too many fields so I'm using ACI API to build an XML but I'm confused about expected format.

In xml I have many COMPONENT tags which I don't find in XML specification you provided, and in GUI I don't have any component in corresponding tab.

In GUI if I create manually a component I have following types:

In GLPI, COMPONENTS are only used to handle stack devices as expected: a stack of 2 devices should create 2 devices.

COMPONENTS are described in this json specs: https://github.com/glpi-project/inventory_format/blob/main/inventory.schema.json
Indeed since GLPI v10, XML inventory produced by netdiscovery and netinventory task are converted in JSON by the Converter.php library. And this specs is actually the reference.

COMPONENTS for network devices are not managed the same way than for computers. Actually, only firmware are reported there.
