sorry to ask, but please clarify the state of this project, preferably in the first line of the README.md

because it seems to be quite dead: last commit 8 months ago, last release 3 years ago, pull requests since 3 months talking about a kubernetes version already obsoleted (1.16) etc...

Good question @viorel-anghel. The deploy script is not working with kubernetes version 1.17. It would be good to know if this project is planing on supporting current and future versions.

fyi, i was able to change the deploy procedure and run it in a kubernetes 1.17 cluster. if anyone interested, i can share this. or check some of the existing pull requests.

I am also wondering.
The deployment works with above PR645 fix but the provisioning fails, unless you use the admin user for the StorageClass. Took me a day to figure this out! (bug in heketi here: heketi/heketi#1329 )
