Is this that abysmally terrible theme we're talking about? If that's so, I really hope there's a way to disable it.

Who's stopping you from installing firmware without this interface? Download and install the firmware without the TUF interface over it, and you'll be happy :-)

@Marchcat2008 my bad, was not expecting the TUF ui to be in a separate firmware, thought that it replaced the default one.

Hi, web history isn't working for me in this release. Shows blank, sometimes works for a while then stop displaying again. I already tried refresh/clear.
This issues was present in lastest pre release version too.

Updated my 2 node Xt-8 to 3004.388.10_2 and my nodes are showing weak connections to my bt10. It was great before. Not sure what changed. Going to try to go back to beta 2 and see if I see the same thing I updated my roaming assistant config and is better so far.. not sure why it starting acting diff

Update 12/15/2025:
I reverted the xt8 firmware to 3004.388.9_2 and so far so good. No mesh connection degradation to 2.4.

Update 12/21/2025:
I turned off auto for 5ghz channel. What I found was that it changed to a lower channel which caused the mesh to connect via 2.4. So far so good. Once its good for a week, I will update the firmware back to 388.10_2. Will update this with results

Update 02/18/2026:
Turned off MLO. 5ghz and 6ghz set channels to auto. 2.4 ghz set to a channel. Turned off auto reboot. I also reduced lease time to 12hrs. Updated to latest for all my main bt10, and latest for 2 xt8 nodes 3.0.0.4.388.11_1-gnuton0_beta1. So far so good for 8 days.

Hi there!
I’m using an ASUS RT‑AX92U router — and I believe this solution might be useful for many other users as well.
I’d like to find out if there’s a way to:
apply MAC address changes globally (for all network interfaces);
ensure these changes persist after a reboot.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
Used the standard command:
ifconfig eth5 hw ether XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
Edited /etc/rc.local via vi, adding:
ifconfig hw ether XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
Unfortunately, this approach doesn’t work.
I understand that the system likely has everything recoded, linked, etc., and I’d really prefer not to disrupt the existing code structure.
Ideally, I’d like this functionality to be available across all router operating modes.
Specific concern:
I’m particularly interested in bridge mode and repeater mode. In these modes, I’ve noticed a peculiar behavior: the MAC address gets automatically incremented by +1 in the last octet. For example:
If the original MAC ends with XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:80, it gets changed to XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:81.
I’d like to have control over this behavior instead of having the system auto‑modify the MAC.
Could you please suggest:
A reliable and safe method to set custom MAC addresses?
A way to prevent automatic MAC incrementing in bridge/repeater modes?
A universal solution that works across all router modes?

My main device is an Asus RT-AX82U V2, and the device I'm connecting to via AIMesh is the DSL-AX82U... When I installed the "3004.388.10_2-gnuton1" firmware on both devices, the DSL-AX82U wasn't recognized when I tried to perform an AIMesh connection from the Asus RT-AX82U V2... so I had to revert to the latest official firmware.

you try factory resetting the nodes? or using the Ethernet mesh discovery?

I don't know if anyone else has the problem but my WiFi stops working with this FW. The interruptions last for several tens of seconds. I can't even connect to the router and I have to restart it manually. The problem comes back several times a day. My router model is TUF AX5400

I also run into something like that, but mainly for my guest network. However, if you read my comment above, it hasn't occurred for a bit after tweaking different settings
