A working example of debugpy with claude code #6

I've joined the AI agents game pretty recently and trying to streamline my workflow.
the idea of having a debugger available to my agent seems like a great idea, however, I've never used dap tools before and I might be missing something fundamental here and I'm struggling to get this working with claude code.
my code base is primarily python so I'd need to use debugpy. is there any chance we can get a working example of how to set this up?
apologies if this tool isn't meant to be used with python - I'm assuming it is based on This server enables AI assistants and other MCP clients to interact with debuggers for various programming languages. from the docs.
