launch via /applications/launch/slug/ gives error after username entered

I am testing out using the https://authentik.tld/application/launch/slug/ method of launch. It will prompt for username, and as soon as I type that in, I get "No variant of ChallengeTypes exists with 'component=undefined' error. If I am already logged in and try the url it works. When the error happens, it is on the url : /if/flow/default-authentication-flow/

I checked #4209 and that is the same message. I tried the CSRF_TRUSTED_ORIGINS suggestion, but still getting the error.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to look.

Still have not figured out what "No variant of Challenge Types exists with 'component=undefined' means. Anyone have a suggestion on where to look ?
