I would like Skeleton3DEditor::export_skeleton_profile to be available from Import Settings or Advanced Import Settings when importing models. Currently, I must create a New Inherited Scene, select the Skeleton3D node, click the Skeleton3D widget, then click Export Skeleton Profile for each of my assets. Another great alternate would be to expose this function to GDScript.
