Moving the cursor to any arbitray location

Currently if you need to move the cursor anywhere on a line, you need to use the left/right arrow keys to move back and forth. This is obnoxious. It's senseless to have to press and hold the arrow key just to move to some location to make a change. It should be possible to just use your mouse cursor and it places the terminal cursor wherever you want it.
