High demand (Keep trying) #21275

Wouldn't a "keep trying, always" mode mean high demand in perpetuity for everyone since most of us would obviously opt to (ab)use it? There must be an incremental backoff in place for such a mode, i think. |

From my point of view, the friction here is mostly that the current retry interaction feels manual without giving users any meaningful control. If the system already knows demand is high, it would be better to offer queued retry with backoff and a visible countdown instead of asking people to keep pressing the same button. That would feel much closer to a real waiting room than a repeated prompt. |

Why does it have this feature where it says they have high demand, with a "keep trying" button? It doesn't make sense to me. I sit here pressing "Keep trying" for hours sometimes, is that just to make sure I'm getting some form of exercise? I have several projects going on in the background and have to keep coming back to say "Keep trying" I'm thinking of automating that but, just wondering why it's even there in the first place. "Keep trying" once should be enough.. obviously if I want to stop I can just exit the CLI.
