Just dropping an info for the people like me, who were unsure. Gemini, when you log with the api key is not using the free requests limits, it goes stright for the paid.

And to clarify, it will use whatever is set up for the API key. If the API key is attached to a billed project, you get Gemini API billing quota, limits and pricing. If not then you get the Gemini API free tier quota & limits.

" If not then you get the Gemini API free tier quota & limits." most importantly, if using the free tier, they ARE recording and using your data. be careful with sensitive information. the PAID tier is absolutely astronomical. Get ready for HUGE bills if you use it.
