A short answer is: I don’t think there is currently a documented switch to fully disable Gemini CLI memory recording. The current docs describe memory as the So the practical answer seems to be:

I use Gemini CLI across multiple different client projects, so I want to disable memory as it becomes auto populated with a mix of information from different projects.
Is there a way I can do this such as a flag in a settings file? I can't find anything in the native /settings to achieve this.
Note I am not asking how to delete the memory - this I know how to do by locating the .GEMINI file in the gemini folder. I would like to disable the memory recording feature,
