Gemini CLI refusing Google Drive

Unless I misunderstood, the feature to use google drive with the CLI doesn't work. It is refusing to connect to my drive because of "privacy". Is anyone else having this issue, or have a fix?

Is google drive a local app connecting to cloud drive ?

Or how do you expect the cli to connect to google drive ???

Well, it cares for your privacy ;). More seriously:

1. Read the system msg it is using to understand why.
2. Teach it how to access your Google Drive (not that easy, "5 factor authentication" as I call it).
3. Use ready MCP server to do that instead. Gemini CLI will be happy, as it loves sending API queries to MCP instead.
