Does opting out delete the source code uploaded before the opting out? #3099
-
I did not know that Gemini uses users' code for training by default. I had run two requests for testing before opting out. I want to delete the source code uploaded by the two requests. The codebase is my company's, not mine. Also the code quality sucks, so it should be better for Gemini not to learn this company's crappy code any way. |

Opting out does not delete past data; it only affects future requests. The honest truth is that as of today (Jul 3), we aren't retaining any prompts or responses even though the privacy policy allows it. Nevertheless, if you want to delete data, you can follow the instructions here: https://policies.google.com/privacy#inforetaining |
