MCP for Gmail via https://mcp.zapier.com/ How to get it to read my email?

I can get G Cli to write a draft email and it can read the subject lines of emails but can't read the email itself. Security rants aside, how do I get G Cli to open and read my emails? Thank you. https://mcp.zapier.com/

This may be something specific to the zapier mcp (which is in beta.) But maybe not. When you do /mcp what do you see?

The gemini will talk to zapier MCP then zapier will create a draft email. But, I can't get gemini or zapier to actually "read" an email. It will give the subject line but not the content. The mcp will prep a draft email but won't prepare a draft REPLY to an email. That's what I want to do. Read my email, check my data sources/history then prepare a draft email.

It is a MCP (Zapier) problem, not Gemini CLI's.

Myself, I just do all in Google APIs (and most other ones) directly. Yes, a PIA with the tokens at first, but I am in control.
