What is your use case motivating running Gemini CLI from your home directory? Generally you should run Gemini CLI from a single project directory as it is quite risky to run from your root directory and your home directory likely has a lot of files making file search tasks Gemini CLI performs slower than if running from a specific directory. Please feel free to file an issue requesting an option to disable this message. It could be acceptable to support as a power user option in settings.json.

I understand the logic behind why it's really recommended to not run in home.

I don't understand why the ability has (effectively) been removed (since the warning can't be disabled).

Users should be able to take whatever action they want to take without a giant yellow warning in their face the entire time.
