• Does the /privacy option interact with or reflect any of the Google account's activity settings ?
• Is the /privacy option synchronized across different Gemini instances using the same Google account? For example, if I disable it on one machine, will it also be disabled on another machine using the same account?

I'm quite sure what you mean by /privacy. /privacy just displays the privacy notice which is based on whether you are using an API Key or signing in with a Google account. To understand how the privacy notices differ depending on how you are accessing Gemini CLI please see the Gemini CLI: Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.

To opt out of anonymized usage statistics tracking, you can follow these steps on each machine.

@jacob314 Not exactly. The /privacy command shows a notice and provides an option to opt in or out of data collection—at least that's what I see in the console. I have a few questions regarding this behavior:

Is the option (Yes/No) opt-out by default?

Is this setting reflected anywhere in the Google user interface?

Is the Yes/No choice synced with my Google account? For example, if I start Gemini CLI on another machine, will my previous opt-out choice be applied automatically?
