Availability in French Overseas Territories

Hi,

I’m trying to log in to Gemini CLI, but it seems I’m not in a supported region.

I live in La Réunion, which is part of France. However, even though France is listed among the available regions, I cannot access the product. My guess is that, as with PlayStore access in the past, French overseas territories may not be considered part of France for this purpose...

To clarify, it’s similar to a situation where Alaska or Hawaii couldn’t use AI Studio, even though the USA is in the supported regions.

I also tried using a VPN. While this works with Google AI Studio, it does not seem to work with Gemini CLI.

Does anyone know how to resolve this, or who I should contact?

The Gemini CLI is also unavailable in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia, even with an active Google AI Pro subscription. We would really like to use the Gemini features we are paying for, such as Gemini Code Assist and the Gemini CLI.
