Latest Gemini CLI doesn't show any debug information

What happened?

Trying to debug an Extension issue "MCP error -32000: Connection closed" and when I run with --debug flag, I no longer see any actual debug information as it used to print in previous Gemini CLI v0.17.

What did you expect to happen?

Actually show some debug output as it used to show in previous CLI versions
