Preloader or Poster on change src

Hello all!

Is it possible to add preloader or poster (like we used on model-viewer) on my change src script. When you click product images on bottom side of page my script is changing both src and ios-src of model-viewer. As you see in the demo link transparent white thing is appearing when you click images to change src until load other model.

Any suggestions or solutions would be great. Thanks...

I make a research about it and "the white thing appearing" is --progress-mask. So I want to add gif to --progress-mask on css.

--progress-mask: url(Assets/Untitled-3.gif);

I tried this code on css but it did not work. What is problem here. Thanks.
