Very strong ambient lighting needed

Hello all,

First of all I would like to praise you for your work on the Modelviewer.

Nevertheless, we are faced with the following problem.

When using the AR mode, the models are only displayed with very strong ambient lighting in the room.

When using it in a little darkened room, the models are not loaded.

Is there any experience on this already?

Hey, Thanks for the quick reply. For a preview of the Problem please just google for "Panda" and use the 3D Model from Google directly. I have created 2 screenshots...one shows the room with light switched on....the other shows the room without light but with sufficient ambient lighting...With light switched on and also with ambient lighting you need numerous attempts to be able to place the model correctly so that it is displayed...Handymodel is in this case an iPhone X, but this was also already tested with an iPhone 12 here occurs the same behavior...as soon as is not 100% daylight, it is very troublesome to put the model. We have tested this both indoors and outdoors....outdoors is always better....but there should also be something that still places the model in poor lighting conditions.

Well, your first photo is Scene Viewer, so Android, but not part of MV. Not sure about the second image, but you mention iPhone, which would use Quick Look (also not MV). Our web AR mode is webxr, which we actually control (works on Android only). We can give more detailed feedback on that mode. And yes, AR placement is hard, particularly in low light.
