If would be useful if Mug "ate its own dog food" and adopted alternatives to calling those methods that have been marked as deprecated, particularly in BiStream.

Are you referring to the BiStream.from(Iterable, Function, Function) methods?

Internally we have been in a discussion about the naming of these public static methods.

One of the possibilities is to name them all as biStream(), without the need to decide "which name is it?".

Have you run into any confusions in your code?

Yes, it's the deprecated BiStream.from methods. The Javadoc offers advice on what to use instead, but it would be useful if the codebase itself showed what that looked like, giving some in-use examples of what the recommended alternatives are to the deprecated methods.

What's the thinking behind the naming discussion?

Mainly about whether we need two groups of overloads biStream() + from(), or consolidate them all into biStream(). Arguments for consolidation is such that you don't need to think and just always type biStream().
