Maintenance of S2 Golang

Sorry to open an issue about this here, but it doesn't seem anyone is following https://github.com/golang/geo anymore.

Does anyone know of any plans to maintain (or not) the Go port of the S2 library?

Is there anything in particular you're looking for in the way of maintenance? There haven't been any internal changes either.

We use it for spatial indexing, and there is helpful functionality like S2RegionTermIndexer in the C++ implementation which is missing from the Go one. Bleve has a fork at https://github.com/blevesearch/geo that implements some of this functionality.

I'm just wondering if there are plans to merge some of this back, or to port more functionality from C++ in the future. Of course maintaining the same library in two different languages can be problematic and it's to be appreciated that S2 has been open sourced like this anyway.

I don't mind using the fork and/or forking our own and contributing back to the project. Currently we haven't had a need to implement functionility ourselves.
