Cocoapods - 'pod install' takes forever

Hello, just after cloning the project, the pod install cmd takes forever, after some research I found this article,
They suggest to use 'https://cdn.cocoapods.org/' instead of 'https://github.com/CocoaPods/Specs.git'.
