Fails to play in jellyfin + Dispatcharr

It works fine when playing direct in browser, and VLC. But fails to play in jellyfin or Dispatcharr.

Both these systems can find the channels. But don't play.

The same problem for me. I tried both, neither worked. By the way, thanks to @xhemals, Dispatcharr is such a great tool. It is like a modernized tvheadend.

I suspect it is a typo somewhere in the program. I looked up the log file and found there is a period at the end of the m3u8 link, like:
Error opening input file http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3000/stream/31.m3u8.
Note that there is a period at the end of the link.

Similarly, the link comes out from StepDaddyLiveHD sometimes missing a colon in the m3u link etc....

@Achiness4732 I got it working last night and forgot to update.

I used this fork: https://github.com/eribbey/dlhd-proxy. Put it into dispatcherr and used restream setting. Then used the .3mu generated by dispatcherr into jellyfin. Disabled hardware transcoding for HVEC and it now works in jellyfin.

Funnily enough this fork got updated literally a few mins ago to say use Dispatcherr, I wish it said that 2 days ago when I was trying for ages to get it to work haha!

I quickly tried the fork. There are a few nice udpates/improvements. However, it just not streaming for me. I have to run the original version. At least, I can watch live streaming that way.

I was able to get all the channels to show on dispatcharr, do you know what Server URL do I need?

Seems to re-stream the channels correctly, can use the m3u provided by Dispacharr to stream in VLC, still no joy with jellyfin, what are your settings here?

@iChristGit My settings are below. I thnink your issue is the direct=true.

also side note, you can use dispatcherr for the guide.xml in the EPG section of Dispatcherr in the forked version, and then set that as the XMLTV guide for jellyfin

With this set in the fork, I am able to stream from Dispacharr to Jellyfin and it works accross devices!
I am just wondering when can we skip the Dispacharr part and just use the m3u8 directly, its only an issue with Jellyfin, VLC works regardless

The only .env changes needed:
proxy=FALSE
IP=http:// (local ip of your pc) :3000

And this is how Jellyfin currently setup, the Dispatcharr url etc
