I am a software researcher at a camera manufacturing company. I am interested in integrating OpenGoPro into our company's camera products to develop a feature that connects our cameras with smartphones. However, I would like to clarify whether OpenGoPro API can be used during camera development rather than for app development.

Additionally, I would like to know whether implementing OpenGoPro API in both the camera and the app could potentially infringe on GoPro’s patents or copyrights. Before proceeding with this development, would it be necessary to obtain prior permission or approval from GoPro?
