Which driver version you are using?
I had similar effect on Archlinux with CSL Elite base with driver from AUR. When noticed that I'm using old driver, removed that AUR package and build'ed my own from master, and these oscillations in straight has gone. Now I upgraded to CSL DD (8Nm) and all looks normal. Maybe my setup totally broken, but I don't have Windows and can't compare. |

As the title says, I've tested this driver on Both Linux Mint 22 and Fedora 42, and it's really nice to have my wheel (CSL DD 8nm) working on Linux. It's great to see more support for hardware in such a niche space!
However, when comparing it to the Windows driver, the feedback is extremely sharp, with bumps etc. being dramatically more pronounced than you'd expect, and when going in a straight line the wheel begins to oscillate badly in the middle unless I hold it with a fairly strong bit of force, probably 2-3x the force it takes on the Windows driver, just based off of the feeling in my hands. Almost like there's a strong low force boost enabled, even though it's set to 0.
This obviously makes it pretty hard to do something like take your hand off the wheel to use a shifter, hit a key, etc. and generally causes a fair bit of fatigue from the extra effort you have to put in.
I've tested this with Automobilista 2, and Assetto Corsa Competizione, on both Linux OSes and Windows 10, and it shows the same differences in FFB in both sims (albeit in Automobilista 2 it's more noticeable, presumably just due to how busy the FFB is in that game)
I use the exact same settings in-game and in the wheel driver on Linux and Windows, so I'm not sure if this is just a matter of some missing effects haven't been added yet, or something more, but it's something I thought would be worth bringing up.
