Can you provide more context on when this started to happen? Just updated mp4box.js? I'm asking because gpac also changed its behaviour (gpac/gpac#3352) so looking at the consequences;

Yes, I updated from 0.5.2 to 2.1.2 and one of the videos I tested threw this error

I see the issue, mehd should have been optional. Thanks for reporting it, it should be fixed today.
