Is it possible to delete an archived account?

That's about it. But since this box looks so large and empty, I guess I'll elaborate,

My account was archived, I'd like to free the username is possible.

I downloaded the archive thinking it was like a confirmation of "that's it, we're done [with you] here" thus the account would be freed because "no season to keep old unusable data anymore, makes sense", I thought, but that didn't quite pan out. 😅

I think that a username can never be deleted. But if you want to reuse the same username it's possible for me to re-activate it manually.

I have the same concern but am also confused.
In the announcement (June 23rd, 2025) it says:

There is currently no way to re-activate an archived account.

Is it still correct?
How can I tell you my gpodder username to reactivate?

Since the announcement there has been a few requests to reactivate an account, that I can do manually.
You'll start from scratch, though: all subscriptions, history, ... are indeed deleted and won't be recovered.
If you feel ok with it, just reply with your login.

Hi, please delete my archived account _HaPe_ (and the archive file), so that my email address is no longer stored anywhere. (alternatively, you could also reactivate it and delete the archive file. Then I will delete the account myself)

Thanks for helping to resurrect the mygpo project! It really is a cornerstone of the open podcasting ecosystem.

@ByteHamster I've re-activated your account and edited the email. If you still have your password you should be able to delete your account.
