OTEL Target Allocator?

For posterity, I asked #107 in issues (before there were any discussions) and it was answered

I naively wonder if there's any way for otel-lgtm to scrape metrics from PodMonitor/ServiceMonitor, or is pushing to its OTEL Collector the only option?

It looks like the OTEL Target Allocator (TA) is a bridge between the Monitor CRDs and the OTEL Collector, right? Is TA a candidate for future inclusion in otel-lgtm?

I would recommend installing the OpenTelemetry Operator next to lgtm and just point the otlp export to the lgtm service.
