Ability to have the MCP server configured twice for production and staging

I have two different Grafana instances, one for staging and one for production, so two different urls and service tokens.

I use the Docker container in my .cursor/mcp.json file.

I would like to define both of them, but it seems that whichever one is defined first, it 'wins' and that's the only one the agent can use.

Is there a way to have the MCP server prefix its tools or commands with an optional environment string?

Ideally when I ask "Search the Loki logs in Grafana Staging for ..." it would be able to tell the difference.

Hm, this does sound very useful. I'm not 100% if it's something that should be solved in every MCP server though; I wonder if there is some sort of MCP-multiplexer or gateway that can handle this? It would be a fair bit of complexity to add it here...
