Backoff dependency archived

The public repository for the backoff dependency was publicly archived on Aug 7, 2025:

As this project now seems abandoned and a requirement for the gql client. We should explore maintained options. I don't have any up-front suggestions, and the project hasn't been updated since 2022 so it's not a high priority, but we should be aware.
