Run and E-Stop doesn’t work

Hi i installed three Buttons ( Run, Hold, E-Stop) but only the Hold button works. They are all normally closed momentary switches connected to GND. I can pause the program with the hold button but nothing happens when i press the run or e-stop one.

I use the protoneer map.

I flashed also another esp chip with the esp duino map but still the same problem.

Which ESP32 board and does it have pullup resistors on pin 34-39? If not cycle start (Run) will not work. E-Stop not working could be due to a Web Builder issue that has been fixed.

I created a new firmware with the webbuilder today. Run is working now but still see no funktion with the estop.

I use the espduino-32 board.

grblHAL E-stop (IO2) is connected to Abort on the shield, not E-STOP which is connected to the RST (or EN) pin that resets the MCU. Which one is you using?

Hi i did some tests and figured out that run and estop works when i connect the pin with 3,3v. I thought it schould be with an NC to GND. Instead i need a NO to 3,3V. I think the pullup settings could be wrong.

I think the pullup settings could be wrong.

Then change it, set $17=0. BTW IO2 is a bit odd on my ESP32 - it only raises the voltage to 2.45V when the pullup is enabled. Or better add external pullups (or optos) on the switch inputs - the Protoneer board is a very bad design. And again, I035 does not have an internal pullup that can be enabled.
