So glad to see a new release! It's a little celebration!
There's one thing that it lacks (or I can't figure out) - saving color controls presets.
Now it takes browsing for ICIO config and changing all the settings each time.
And one minor thing is that the thumb strip is not OCIO managed.

Same problem here. It doesn't write the path to the OCIO setting into the settings file (Win 10).

Thanks for releasing a new version! Before I create issues that might not be bugs, I'd like to ask these here:

• is there a way to define file browser shortcuts/favorites? I couldn't find any.
• at least on Linux the "native" option for the file browser doesn't seem to work. I always get the DJV one.
• the icons used in the file browser are making it hard to distinguish between a file and a folder. The icons are very similar in look and size.

The file browser shortcuts are static for now, but I'll add custom shortcuts to the feature list.

I currently have the "native" file browser disabled on Linux, I didn't want to add gtk as a dependency. I'll hide the UI option so it isn't confusing. If you don't mind building from source you could enable the gtk file browser, but I haven't actually tried it.

I will try and tweak the icons a bit to make them more distinct.

• Could you please explain how to install the FFmpeg library on Mac?
• Also, do you think it might be possible to add a pen tool in a future release—for drawing on images and adding notes?

Right now the best way to get the FFmpeg library is to build from source. On macOS it is fairly straightforward, Windows is a bit more complicated, but hopefully not too bad:

I might add a pen tool in the future, but I'm not sure when yet.

On the MacOS, you can use homebrew to install ffmpeg too!

@Poly-Gons If the build succeeded, it will install into ./Release/install by default. If you want to change the install location, like somewhere in your home directory, change the CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX on the build command line:

cmake -S DJV/etc/SuperBuild -B Release -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$HOME/tools/DJV -DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=$PWD/Release/install -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release

@darbyjohnston On Arch / Linux 6.15.7-2-cachyos, using CMake 4.0.3 there's a configure error complaining about non-support for CMake <3.5. Adding -DCMAKE_POLICY_VERSION_MINIMUM=3.5 to the build command does seem to build without error. However, there's no resulting binary in DJV/Release/Install, or in (outdated info in README.md) DJV/Release/DJV/src/DJV-build/bin/djv/. FWIW I created a gist of the build process.

On Windows 11 the program icon is missing on the taskbar and in the djv header.

Strange, the icon appears OK for me on Windows 11. The next version will have a windows installer package which might fix the icon.
