Change email template with Username

Hi

in Snipe IT email templates for check in and out assets, it says Hello -> user Full name from Active directory. But what i need is to change this to " Hello "

i tried in email template php file under markdown folder which has fullName as attribute. No matter whatever value i change this like "Username", "Email" etc., it gives me 500 server error. But only it works with fullName attribute.

how to change the template by addressing the user as Hello ?
