Tracking Support Contracts

I've got a need to track support contracts on assets. Each asset is covered by support, which must be renewed when the current contract expires. Ideally, we could produce a report of all assets, and when their particular support contract expires.

This seems to overlap with the "licenses" functionality. I suppose I could create a license called "FY23 Support Renewal", which would expire on July 1, 2023. Then next year, create a new license called "FY24 Support Renewal", and assign it to the same assets.

Ideally, I could also forecast upcoming costs. So, in FY24, I have 224 assets needing a renewal. Based on their particular model, I could compute that it will cost $24K to renew support that year.

Is there a way to report on which assets have upcoming license expirations? Or is there a better way to handle this?
