Set up snipe it in an already existing web server.

I have an apache2 web server already running WordPress, and I want to install snipe-it alongside it.
I have a virtual host for WordPress (I.E.: docs.website.com) and I need to set up snipe it in another virtual host, (I.E.: inventory.website.com).

Is there an easy way of doing it? What I understand is that snipe it creates it's own virtual host and automatically redirects all requests to /public/.

Will this interfere with my already existing WordPress install? Do need do make some custom configuration so it doesn't happen?
