Error 500 when creating a new asset module and categories

I am running snipe-it on a linux ubunto server (vmware workstation).
Everything is working fine but I when i try to create a new asset module or category, I get 500 | server error.
I am not sure what the issue is and I have very little experience with linux.

I found the solution.
I gave /var/www/snipeit/storage and /var/www/snipeit/bootstrap/cache
write permssions
