I was just working on licenses in our instance over the weekend and had the same thought. We also make it work with the license tracking feature, but it doesn't feel as "natural" as it could be...if that makes sense. |

Currently, SnipeIT efficiently tracks licenses and physical assets - but we’re missing a crucial element: service contract tracking.
Think intangible assets like cloud services and hosting agreements, domain and SSL certificate expiration's. These aren’t physically tangible items; they’re annual contracts that must be renewed to avoid service disruptions.
Right now, we’re shoehorning these into SnipeIt as licenses but it isn't an ideal fit. Licenses aren't exactly the same as service contracts - they don't have product keys, seat counts, quantities etc.
Enhancing snipeit with contracts would help make it easier to track these items and reduce the risk of missed renewals.
