How are the "Remaining" and "Assets" columns meant to be read / changes on the Asset Models page?

I am evaluating Snipe-IT and after creating an Asset Model and 3 Assets for it, got confused by the 2 columns "Assets" and "Remaining on the Asset Models page.

On the Asset Models Overview page, I expected that the "remaining" number goes down when Assets get checked out. But it stays the same, whether I check Assets out or not. Next I changed the Status of one of the Devices from Ready to Deploy to Pending and the number is still the same. Then I changed one to Archived, but it still shows 3. And when setting one on Archived, I expected the Assets number goes down, but it still says 3.

So how are those 3 columns related to each other and when do they change? I was not able to read something about it in the Documentation yet.

I had the same question. Currently it's just the same number for both. I think a column for each status type makes sense.
