How does GSD use official claude skills like frontend-design

Here's the frontend-design skill available through a plugin: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/tree/main/plugins/frontend-design.

As I was testing GSD, it didn't automatically use the available/enabled plugin in claude code and created a generic website design. Was it supposed to do it this way? Is there an interface through which claude skills/plugins need to be referenced for GSD to pick them up?

Mine uses that skill, but I have to ask it to use it.
That seems fair to me.

From my experience, you have to ask it to use skills contiuously and it seems to ignore any CLAUDE.md or PROJECT.md relating to skills.

+1 and from my point of view, I highly appreciate this, as this gives MUCH better control which tools Claude is using over letting GSD+Claude choose what they like - maybe not for the total yolo-mode-go-ahead-and-finish type of vibe coder, but for me as an old programmer using Claude as a tool box on steroids just the right thing.
