Principal components as ecosystem indices

There is interest in using the zooplankton principal components as indices of the plankton community. The PCA's used in the CPR paper only include the 8 taxa that Andy originally used. There might be more noise, or more value in doing a full community PCA, or maybe not. Something to look into.
