Hello, I am also stuck. "Cannot load sigrok decoders" when program opens. Installed various versions of python, direct and from windows store. Created python.cfg and with path to various locations of python versions .dll and still no luck. PythonInitLog says: " > Error initializing python engine: The type initializer for 'Delegates' threw an exception. - at Python.Runtime.Runtime.Delegates.get_Py_IsInitialized() Really would like to keep moving forward, looking for suggestions. Thanks |

Yes, that's the correct one if you don't want the 200Mhz overclock. Then try the change of vref, maybe the switch is dirty or broken. |

I discovered the problem. I feel like the first piece of information that I should have read is, "Cheap 24 channel logic analyzer with 100Msps, 32k samples deep," perhaps it is my fault for not fully grasping the meaning of this. it can only capture a few microseconds at a time with 24ch@100mhz because unlike every other logic analyzer with a usb port that streams the output, this caches the capture to the very small ram on the rp2350 then dumps it to pc. might i suggest a stream buffer and usb stack as the next improvement? |

Not feasible, the pico USB is too slow for it... The trick is to maximize the captured data to relevant info. BTW, is not 32k samples, is many more, with the Pico 2 the buffer size is 384KB, so for 24 channels it can capture up to 96Ks. If you reduce the amount of channels it can go up to 384Ks (8 channels). The best way to maximize the data is to use the burst mode: configure the trigger to your read/write signal, set post-trigger samples to a value where it can capture the important data, not everything, and then use the burst mode, that will retrigger the capture each time the condition is true and that will give you real valuable data. Also, you stated that the trigger does not fire, so it has nothing to do with the sampling size, the size is only consumed after the trigger is executed, so if there is no trigger firing the capture then there is a hardware problem. |

I got it to capture after using a different LA to identify a trigger that sort of defeated the point. the problem was a mismatch between expected function and implementation. its use is far more limitted than described. for example, not useful for probing an undocumented device which is mainly what I use a logic analyzer for. I can see that it might be useful for snooping a documented standard i2c or spi bus to capture a bit stream but a fundamental problem is for example, seeing how a device that receives a key press of arbitrary length then handles and relays that information over spi or i2c is not possible because it's not possible to capture the timing of the button press and any artifacts. so useful for higher level, less useful for lower level problems. in this instance there is a 2s delay between pressing a button and any activity with seconds long delays between short transmit sections which is why I was having trouble troubleshooting. eventually I managed to press capture mid-transmission at the right time with the right settings. why I need to use a LA is because the datasheets for some of the era specific glue logic literally just says, "詳細については、当社のエンジニアリング部門にお問い合わせください。 ...©1980" I dont seem to be able to put it into 8ch mode.

I'll just leave small tip here: make sure that your path to python library doesn't include any special characters (i.e. my Windows username is "Rafał", so vanilla path was "C://Users/Rafał/[so on]"). Had to reinstall python to other place, and now it works like charm. |

I installed Python 3.13. Could you please tell me where the python.cfg file is located and an example of its contents? File system search returned no results.I'm using Arch Linux. |

What got me was the phrase "the path to the Python library". Took me a moment to figure that that means the exact location of the python312.dll (or whatever version of Python you're using), e.g. c:\Users\mjg\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python312\python312.dll It does not mean the path to your Python installation, the path to your python.exe, the path to your Python installation's Lib or libs folder, or anything like that. |

As usual I find myself going around & around in circles!
Hardware: LogicAnalyzer v6.0 PCB using a PICO2W device.
Firmware: logic-analyzer-firmware_v6.5.1_BOARD_PICO_2_W_WIFI.uf2
Software: logicanalyzer_6.5.0-win-x64
Python: python-3.12.9-amd64
Sigrok: Sigrok cli x86 64bit installer [20250318].exe
O/S: Windows 10
After much frustration (due to Python), LogicAnalyzer_6.5.0 starts up without any error messages and I can detect and connect to my hardware via USB.
HOWEVER
If I try to set up any kind of capture, I get the following error message pop-up after pressing 'Accept' in 'Capture Settings':
'Device reported error starting capture. Restart the device and try again.'
I cannot get past this point. (How is the device 'restarted' exactly?)
I think this may be something to do with the Sigrok drivers which I have installed on my PC but not entirely sure if they are actually being used if that makes sense?
Any help or pointers much appreciated!
