Is LogicanaluzerV2 a 2-layer or a 4-layer board?

Thanks for the great project.

I have opened the Electronics/LogicAnalyzer/LogicAnalyzerV2/designs/jitx-design/kicad/jitx-design.kicad_pcb in KiCad 8 on Linux, and noticed In1.Cu and In2.Cu layers. But those seem to be empty. Neither a ground plane nor a power plane is defined on those two inner layers. Is it intentional, or has an error been introduced by conversion to KiCad? I am asking because KiCad recognizes both LogicAnalyzer v1 and Shifter as 2-layer boards.

An EU-based PCB manufacturer recognized the LogicAnalyzerV2 board as a 4-layer board, but showed the inner two layers as empty.

I apologize if my question seems trivial. I have no experience in designing 400MHz electronics. Is it OK to delete In1.Cu and In2.Cu layers from jitx-design.kicad_pcb?

Jitx creates always four layers, even if not used. When you export the gerber files do not select those two, or use the gerber files that are already exported in the releases section
