Why VRMS?

VRMS (Volunteer Relationship Management System) is a browser-based software tool created by Hack for LA (HfLA) to offer curated management of project and volunteer experiences. VRMS is being built to further the organization’s goals of creating pro-social software and developing the tech sector workforce, doing so by collecting and using relevant data to automate repetitive tasks, match volunteers with projects, and surface insights to improve organizational effectiveness.


Who will use it?

  • Organizers will be able to see and manage detailed information about their events and attendees
  • Volunteers will check-in and answer simple questions related to their professional experience and desired role
  • Fundraisers will be provided with detailed KPI's to present to potential donors

What datasets does it create?

  • Attendance and retention data
  • Volunteer profiling, tracking their "career" (progress/activity)
  • Valuable feedback on the organization
