Client: Consider migration from used PDF libraries

Some of the plugins in Client UI rely on outdated dependencies due to the PDF libraries in use.

We should consider allocating some effort toward identifying a seamless migration path to a modern solution, such as LibPDF (https://documenso.com/blog/introducing-libpdf-the-pdf-library-typescript-deserves).

Sounds good @michaelsund! Just a heads up: depending on how soon you want to start, be aware that there are some major changes upcoming to Client UI. This hasn't been merged to develop yet, as I'm still working out some issues, but feel free to take a look at (and perhaps start this work from) the feature/1253-vite branch.

Started work in feature/1757-libpdf and made some progress, all in all it looks doable even though the libraries behave a bit differently.

Looks like a great start @michaelsund, I just tried it out 👍 One very minor thing: I think you missed to include the modified package.json in your first commit. 😄

Made some good progress, although the scalebar is giving me math headaches since jsPdf used millimeters for the pages and libPdf uses points (yes i realized this way too late 😅) And probably need a rewrite to correct some calculations for placing objects.

Probably gonna need some help testing all use-cases and variants of printing to find bugs.

Absolutely, I will gladly test side-by-side with e.g. PDFs from our production environment's Print tool vs the one in this branch and we'll try to get all the little details right! 👍

Fantastic that you are giving the jsPDF migration a go!

Did some quick tests in our prod environment. As you stated there seem to be some issues regarding the length of the scalebar:

Also the text on the bottom right corner is a bit close to the edge!
