Nohang not working in container mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/aspnet:6.0.10-bullseye-slim

While starting nohang daemon using

service nohang

Nothing happens.

While checking for status using

service nohang status

could not access PID file for nohang ... failed!.

This is a small container without systemd and only the root user.

nohang does not create PID file. Is this a problem for you?

In most cases nohang is run as a systemd service and the PID file is not needed.

Please provide more logs if I misunderstood you.

I checked /run/ direcoty and found nohang.pid there .
checked the permission
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Aug 8 03:23 nohang.pid

@hakavlad What kind of logs should i provide ?

@hakavlad This error is thrown when i tried oomd as well. So it can be a container level issue and my pid file seems empty all the time.
