Going back to previous song doesn't refresh lyrics

I'm finding that playing

1. song1
2. song2
3. song1 again

displays

1. song1.lyrics
2. song2.lyrics
3. nothing.

Is this intended behavior?

I installed cmus-lyrics today and I have cmus v2.8.0. I'm on Arch (x86_64 Linux 5.6.10-arch1-1)

First of all accept my apologies for a very delayed response. I was on a hiatus of sort for a while.
Yes, the behaviour to not re-display already played song lyrics is intentional. To be honest I've tried to kept cmus-lyrics and as minimal as possible and re-displaying the lyrics again involves some complications that I want to avoid for the sake of KISS philosophy.
