Unsupported Binary Type for UUID in MongoDB

When attempting to retrieve UUIDs from MongoDB, an error occurs due to unsupported binary subtype. MongoDB stores UUIDs as Binary subtype 4. Can this be added to the list of Supported Data Types

Is it possible to convert UUID binary to string in Mongo aggregate? If it is easy then I don't think we need to particularly deal with binary data
