Is it possible to create an SFDMU project that migrates the defined data directly from a org to the scratch org when creating a scratch org?

I would like to make use of the "[...] direct Org-to-Org data migration without having to deal with annoying intermediate CSV files." with dataPackages when creating scratch orgs😊

Is it possible? And if so, can someone kindly point me in direction of the documentation that shows me how?
If not, is it possible to add a custom bash script to the scripts folder that can be run after scratch org creation?
