Overview of the Issue

Hi,

I had a !!! PACKER CRASH !!! earlier today and was asked to submit an issue along with crashlog. Attached is the log both as gist and as a file. The crash was a SIGSEGV.

Reproduction Steps

I was building @rapid7/metasploitable3 using their build script ./build.sh ubuntu1404.

v1.6.6

Update: updating my packer version to v1.14.2 fixed the issue. The one packaged by Ubuntu is 1.6.6.
